Early Life

Born into poverty on Ryloth, Zentoyo began earning credits by working in the Ryll dens of Kala'uun at an early age. Through the eight years she spent there, she picked up a wide array of "colorful" skills, all of which she offered in trade for Ryll. Showing an aptitude toward business in spite of her circumstances and lack of education, she maximized her profit by selling the Ryll to the tourists that visited the upper levels of Kala’uun.

Nearing her eighth year of this lifestyle, she met a Rutian male Twi’lek by the name of Deno'byya (Deno) outside of the Kala'uun starport where she was selling Ryll. Deno was a smuggler that worked the Ryll trade along the Death Wind Corridor under the Hutts. They struck up an equal partnership to maximize profit in which she led him to new and cheaper contacts for Ryll spice, and he used his existing contacts to get higher prices for it. Credits were lucrative and they were always mobile.

Nar Shaddaa
Two years after meeting, Deno and Zentoyo united in Jasshi'rr. By then, most of their business was running through the Y'Toub system, so they settled at the heart of it: Nar Shaddaa.

Zentoyo began working as a mixocologist, in which she quickly learned that information was a lucrative source of credits to add to her already "colorful" array of skills. Later, she would realize how powerful information was in a place filled with information brokers of all sorts, from professional to amateur. She started to become more selective and discreet with whom she shared information. Further honing her skills, she started planting information and rumors, at any well-paying client's request. As information flowed through her, but rarely out of her, she also became adept at sorting out mis-information, and quickly side-stepping any sentient that made themselves expendable through double-dealing. Her discretion earned her high praise among certain clientele. As most took her at "face value" and not as a threat, she was allowed to operate across many lines.

After a few years of this life, Deno disappeared. Zentoyo stayed on Nar Shaddaa in the hope that he would return. For the next three years, she continued to work in the local cantinas, constantly asking around and sending word out looking for him. The more time passed, the more hope eroded away for her. She fell into a mental state of existing, with her only motivation being to await his return. She maintained and lived on their ship, the Stellar Spirit, during this time.

Current History

By Exel Kar
Zentoyo started to run into problems, and that was of being without protection in Nar Shaddaa. Not wanting to bind herself to a criminal syndicate the way her mate did or find herself enslaved, she scouted out the best way to accomplish her current goals. Based on what she learned, she started working at the newly opened Yocola Tonka as a mixocologist, which was run by a local Hutt and managed by four sentients powerful enough to cull favor with in exchange for protection. After a short period of time, and a crash course in Galactic Basic, Zentoyo proved herself worthy to the overseeing Lordas, whom elevated her position to Keeru Lorda. Soon she was offered a Lorda position as well, in which she turned it down, citing herself not worthy.

While working at the Yocola Tonka, she made the acquaintance of a mercenary, named Rashaad. This particular sentient felt he owed her a debt and offered to track her mate down for her, in which she agreed. He reported back to her that her mate was dead. Torn apart by grief, she started to make some costly mistakes that landed her in the midst of some terrible plots and ploys laced with deceit and betrayal.

After an attempt on her life and near abduction, she took measures into her own hands to try to find out why others were so interested in her, or in what they thought she had. She went into hiding under the guise of taking a holiday for a time while she properly mourned the loss of her mate. After that was done, she worked closely with a few trusted individuals to help her regain some measure of neutrality once again after they found the root of the problem. When she was ready to head back to work, she was notified that the Yocola Tonka had shut down, and that she no longer had steady work.

Once again, she found herself walking into one mess after another as she attempted to seek employment without being under the protection of another. She quickly learned that the denizens she ran across were quick to take advantage of her, which caused her great frustration. Faced with bad odds, she became determined to honor her dead mate's last wish for her, and that was that she would always be taken care of. She realized it was better to learn to take care of herself instead of allowing another to take care of her. Thus she came up with the idea to "create" herself a new lorda. Taking the rest of her savings, she paid off a slicer named Syyl'ara to help her put this new "boss" into the galactic registries. Zentoyo then created the business Azalus Tula around this persona and settled herself into running the company for this sentient.

Many months later, tragedy struck that changed her whole outlook on life. Taking this particular loss as an ill omen, she shut Azalus Tula down and made a few other drastic changes in her life. Once again, she found herself mourning. Picking up the last pieces, but with a more determined resolve, she ended up in the employ of Lorda Vaanthe of Viper and Vysht Ventures (V3) where her new lorda started to see that she had value as a "grifter".

One of the drastic changes she went through was acquiring a new ship, which she named Jah Lapti Ootmian. Her mate's ship, the Stellar Spirit, had all of its systems stripped and placed onto the new ship, and the hull of the once sleek Stellar Spirit resides in a hangar rented out by The Whisperwind Syndicate.

Over this time and through her new job with V3, she became close to two other Twi'leks, Ayy'vida and Tuka'lorn. The three of them together had a penchant for getting into trouble and draining the credits out of their new lorda's accounts while she bailed them out of one trouble after another. Zentoyo knew they were pushing their luck and the three of them decided to make up the credits on Nal Hutta to pay Vaanthe back. The result ended in Zentoyo getting shot, her memory wiped chemically, sold into slavery and after it was found out their mistake, a bounty placed on her to terminate her life. Thankfully, the sentient whom brought her freedom was an old friend of her's, Jordyn Ketra. He put her under his protection in House Andel until her bounty was taken care of. The bounty was claimed by a Chiss Hunter who goes by the name of Chandliss. Chandliss owed a life debt to Zentoyo's mate, Deno, and thus they "staged" her capture and death. An "accident" befell the one whom placed the bounty not long after that.

Now that she was once again cleared, down in spirits for the turn her life had taken, another hunter started hunting her down, going by the name of Tehrvin. Unsure what it was he was after, it caused her to renew old ties and put herself back into the corner of the Hutts, once again. With this, she re-opened Azalus Tula. Regularly, she pays tribute to the Hutts and for the most part, enjoys the protection at large of the Hutt Cartel.

Affiliations

Zentoyo has done work for various hutts, and thus her biggest affiliation would be of The Hutt Cartel. Later she became affiliated with Last Resort and The Whisperwind Syndicate through her work and contacts made on the Promenade of Nar Shaddaa, as well as Viper & Vyhst Ventures.

Personality & Physical Traits

Zentoyo still considers herself mated, such is her belief in bonding through Jasshi'rr. She is the type that will hold her silence rather than tell a lie and has a seemingly, nearly inexhaustible reserve of energy, which is evident in how she pushes herself to exhaustion for anything or anyone she finds a passion for. When she does run out of energy, it can be rather sudden if she doesn't take care. She can also quite easily suffer from overload of new sensory information. To the casual observer, she appears extremely docile and subservient to those she is loyal to, and can easily give off the impression that she is not particularly intelligent.

As with most of her species, some outsiders may view her as physically appealing just for that fact of her race alone, while others may view her as horrific for being an "alien". Her skin tone is Tolian, a muted yellow in color, and often confused with Darian skin tones. When working, she broadly uses cosmetic shimmer and glitter to encourage a golden hue to make her coloring stand out more. Since she cannot grow body hair, but finds eyebrows a favored feature of many sentient races, she has had tattoos done to give the impression that she has them. She has also been known to use temporary dyes to shade her natural lekku markings darker to create a more dramatic effect for her line of work.

Pets, Companions

Akk
Zentoyo obtained an akk pup during the M.A.D (Malnourished Akk Dogs) Charity Drive held on Nar Shaddaa's Promenade. She named the female pup Ka Tinka, which means "consider" in Huttese. She quickly shortened her name and calls her Tinka. The pup resides with Zentoyo on her ship, Jah Lapti Ootmian.

As Tinka grew, her size became stunted by living indoors mostly, thus far she has remained quite small, even for the smaller versions of her breed. She started to show a remarkable propensity for "empathy" and quickly formed a bond with her mistress. Zentoyo has become reliant on the beast for comfort and companionship, not understanding that the empathy comes from Force.

Education, Training & Skills

Huttese
Having been raised on the Outer Rim and residing in Hutt Space through her adult life, Zentoyo was never exposed to Basic until recently. She is fluent in Ryl, Huttese, the unspoken language of Lekku, and speaks broken Basic. Speech nuances include lack of "holo-book" education to draw on the wider vocabulary of Ryl, resulting in a less "complicated" usage of wording when she uses the language. She feels the most comfortable with Huttese and will unthinkingly riddle her speech, especially Basic, with it. The only written language she somewhat understands is Aurebesh, of which she is currently learning under the tutelage of another.
