- "A good pilot always fixes what companies are payed to install, because a good pilot knows they did it all wrong."
- - Fiber MaKast to Floshe his copilot after a day of repairs.
This ship has belonged to the MaKast line since its creation. Designed in secret by Fiberian "Fiber" MaKast, and built in a forgotten Republic shipyard near the outer rim territories. The MaKast owner during the time of Revan was Fiberian MaKast He used the ship to pirate along trade routes throughout the galaxy for over twenty five years. The ship went through numerous exterior retrofits to keep its appearance unknown to authorities. During the Jedi Purge and up until the Great War it had been in storage on Glee Anselm at the MaKast estate for nearly three hundred and fifty years. It was taken out of the family storage to have the engines refurbished before being handed over to Glasen "Glas" MaKast by his Father, it has been in Glas' possession ever since.

History
- "A great ship is one in a million....this ships number cant be counted to."
- - Glas talking to his buddy James about The Surely
The Surely was built by Glas' Great great Grandfather Fiberian "Fiber" MaKast. Back before the Rise of Revan and the fall of the Jedi, the ship was an original design drawn up by Fiber and built in a retired Republic shipyard. Fiber used old material and parts he found in the store houses, most of the pieces were outdated. He piloted the ship once it had been constructed and began his smuggling career and even partook in piracy along the Hydian and Corellian trade routes. After many years the used and worn down ship parts that The Surely was made from began to break down and cease functioning. Fiber took the ship back to Glee Anselm, and with the wealth he had acquired over the years purchased a large plot of land outside the city of Pieralos. Fiber payed architects to build a large compound on the property and a dry-dock workshop for The Surely to be maintained and repaired in. While the MaKast compound was under construction The Surely was brought to the Rendili/Vanjervalis ship yards to be repaired and have most of its systems replaced. When the ship was running again Fiber began to modify all the components put in by the Redili crews stating, "A good pilot always fixes what companies are payed to install, because a good pilot knows they did it all wrong."
Modification History
- "Modified. Heavily modified. Illegally modified."
- - A Republic check point officer scanning The Surely
Over the years Fiber continued to modify the ship heavily, adding unique systems like; a complete slave circuit and most of the security systems and interior locks of the ship can be controlled from a single datapad kept on the owners person at all times. In time Fiber got down to adding new, stronger sublight engines and a specially made cloaking system. He added in a custom made Bed/tank, it is built into the walls of the Captains cabin and is capable of holding over 200gallons of water, creating the perfect submersible environment for the Nautolan species. The room also has a retractable mattress bed in the wall beneath the tank, retracting into the wall to make space in the room. The ship is fitted with minimum weaponry depending mostly on speed and stealth to get out of bad situations. The Surely only has one turbolaser cannon as well as one ion cannon, recently Glas installed twin screamer cannons to the nose of the ship, all weapons are controllable by the pilot from the cockpit, or the gunners turrets individually on the second floor. The ship was once fitted with stealth plating, not to cloak the ship in invisibility, but instead to blend the color of the hull plating in with the blackness of space. Since Glas became captain of the ship, he disabled the power core for the stealth plating to make room for even stronger reactors in the engine compartment to power the newly installed and modified .5 hyperdrive accelerator.
The ship is fitted with a custom made boarding keel, the keel has exterior boarding clamps with a air lock and a circulating hull cutting laser for making an entrance where there are none, he has used the keel many times to breach Republic/Sith transports over the years. Glas has continued making small tweaks to the onboard systems to a point in which no other person, with out extensive training by Glas could hope to repair integral parts of the ship. After Tess and Glas built The Paramour in his families dry-dock he custom fit The Surely with a highly customized exterior docking clamp and a outer air lock, so that their two ships could dock while in space without having to land on a planet to be together. The most extensive modification on the ship is a matter of debate, Glas' father was a highly skilled shipwright, and weapons manufacturer. During the years in which the ship sat in the MaKast dry dock, he installed a system like no other onto The Surely, a complete ship sealant. This sealant is on every section of the ship, around every piece of durasteel and in between every microscopic crack on the ship. The seal allows the ship to be fully submerged in water without any repercussions to the integrity of the hull.
The Comforts of Home
Glas' private quarters in the only room situated on the second floor of the ship, he keeps an eclectic collection of books from various sources throughout the galaxy, ranging from Mandalorian war journals to Jedi prophecies. Glas keeps a small supply of vintage Whyrren's Reserve and Catsblood for himself and a bottle of Twistlers for Tess in his room, for those "special" occasions. The galley of The Surely has a large collection of alcoholic beverages in storage at all times including; Ambrostine, Corellian whiskey, Starshine and even a few bottles of Mandallian narcolethe, for the hardcore drinker. Each of the passenger's quarters has as a small shelf of books as well a private refresher for those long trips through hyperspace. The rooms onboard the ship each have hermetically sealed doors and adjustable environment controls to fit the atmosphere of non-oxygen breathing aliens.
The Layout
- "Home is where you lay your head"
- - A common smuggler motto about their ships
The Surely is shaped like a triangle inside, upon entering the boarding ramp on the right side of the ship, you walk into the large central room. The main room is the common area of the ship, with a large crescent moon shaped couch opposite the entrance ramp, curving it self from the hall to the med bay to the center of the room, another straight couch couch across from it directly the the right of the entrance door. A small coffee table situated in front of the curved couch.along the far edge of the curved couch in a cornered hall leading into the Medbay. To the left(The wider end of the ship) of the entrance in a small hallway leading to the engine room, with two doors on either side leading into the Cargo bay on the left, and garage on the right, and straight forward is the engine room. To the right(the narrow end) is a hallway leading to the Cockpit of the ship and two leading to the private quarters on either side of the main hall. The main hall has a door on the right side leading into the command/communications controls. There is a short ladder in the main hall leading to the second floor of the ship, the hatch to the second floor is always locked and can only be opened by a control pad that Glas keeps on his person at all times.
The Engine room:
The engine room of The Surely is packed with equipment, the twin reactors are fastened to support brackets against the walls, a deactivated powercore sits in one corner, and the hyperdrive accelerator is on the center wall. there is a small cabinet with tools needed to work on the engines, though no one could make out what half the systems are hooked up to, Glas has modified so many components in the engine room not even a veteran ship designer could figure out what goes to what.
The Cargo/Garage:
The Cargo hold has two large freight loading arm mounted to the wall for easy loading and unloading onto repulsor lifts, a cargo elevator sits in the center of the floor for easy loading and unloading. There are four crates in the corner of the room fastened to the wall, each one sealed shut, all four adorned with the same Logo. The Garage has a full workbench for modifying weapons, the bench also has a power charger for refiling the energy on power cells for weapons. There is a large locker of tools used for working on smaller crafts such as the Angelius, which is fastened to the center of the room, usually with parts and tools lying on the floor near it. There are four large storage containers in the corner of the room, filled mostly with parts and accessories for Glas' swoop. A small freight ramp is situated in the middle of the room for loading and unloading of small crafts. The garage has enough room for one more small repulsor craft, or two more speeder bikes. Along one of the walls is a collections of free weights and a fully equipped weight bench for up to 600lbs.
The Common room:
The main room is the first room entered when coming up the boarding ramp, it has two large couches and a small computer with access to the holonet. Above the boarding ramp door in the interior of the ship is a small hidden repeating cannon linked to pressure sensors in the floor of the ramp and common room. There is a large magnetically sealed locker in the main room right next to the hallway leading to the private cabins, Glas prefers to be the only person armed while transporting strangers. There is a Dejarik table in the center of the curved couch. Jutting off from the main room is a full Refresher, and the galley of the ship, the galley is stocked with a large food storage locker with meats and produce from all over the galaxy. The galley has a hidden compartment in the wall containing numerous bottles of alcohol. There is a small bar table mounted to the wall in the galley with two bar stools bolted with it as well as a small dining table with numerous small seats around it.
The Medbay:
Upon entering the med bay you see two surgery tables with equipment on the right wall of the room. There are heart monitors and IV stands for each table, as well as complete surgery equipment kept in a hermetically sealed cabinet near the counter in the corner of the room. The counter come with a complete sink and decontamination center, as well as a full body decon shower in the corner in the back of the room. A large supply closet sits in the corner beside the entry door, filled with gauze and all manner of medical supplies. In the back of the room situated in the corner opposite the decon shower is a single medium sized humanoid Kolto tank. There is a large tank built into the wall of the room that feeds the kolto into the tank when needed, The Surely has enough kolto on had to fill the tank twice. The medbay comes complete with medical dress for up to three humanoids at once.
Situated inbetween the Medbay and the room adjacent to it is a hidden door built into the wall. This hidded door houses a secret airlock used to dock with Tessara's ship The Paramour.
The Forward hall:
The hallway leading to the cockpit and command center of the ship is roughly eight meters long. Just before the main hall are two hallways leading in either direction to the passengers quarters, three rooms down at the end of each hall. Half way down the main corridor on the right is the doorway leading to the Comm room, and across from that on the left is a ladder leading up to the gunner stations as well as Glas' private cabin, the top of the ladder has a lockable hatch, which remains locked at all times unless Glas opens it with his control. At the end of the main hall is the door to the Cockpit.
The Rooms:
Each of the passengers cabins come with fully equipped environment controls, able to shift the air inside the room to match any world, creating a perfect [atmosphere for non-oxygen breathing aliens. Each room has a small wall mounted Terminal stocked with Reading material and information from all over the galaxy. The beds are mounted to the wall roughly one meter off the ground, leaving room for storage underneath. The blankets and sheets are made from basic cotton, the mattresses are comfortable enough, but not ideal. Each room has a small clothes closet and a private refresher(not including a shower) in the corner. The two rooms closest to the front and the room nearest the medbay(4A, 4C and 4E) of the ship are made for two people in each, equipped with bunks rather then single beds. The rooms are slightly larger on the inside so that the two occupants can move around comfortably without needing to squeeze past each other to get around the room.
The Comm:
The Communications room has three large computers in it, two chairs, and a dozen consoles. The farthest left computer in the communications and IFF transponder and communication systems. The center computer is tactical computer, up to date read outs of the ship systems flash across the screen every thirty seconds, as well as in-depth readouts of enemy ships. The far right computer is the navigation system, with direct links to the holonet for up to date information on hyperspace routes. The comm room has a direct link to the pilots consoles to relay information. Each system in the communication room can be accessed via the cockpits computers or by the pilot alone. The ship was designed to be convenient for one pilot to run the ship alone, or a crew of four to easily work together, handling various systems.
The Cockpit:
The cockpit of The Surely is organized in a very odd manner, the Pilots seat sits centered in the room and about two feet lower then the other three seats and about ten feet from the door. There are two screens on swivel so the pilot can pull Navigation or communications to the front for easy access while piloting. The lay out of the computers, though appearing very bulky and inconvenient make piloting the ship alone incredibly easy. From this seat, the pilot can control every system on the ship, able to pilot in heavy firefights with no gunners, and able to navigate a black hole without a navigator. The control stick is custom designed so that the accelerators are controlled via foot pedals, leaving the pilots hands free to control the ship and access the various ship systems situated around them. There is one seat directly behind the pilots chair with a small computer console in front of it, this computer can be used to access the navigation system and plot hyperspace routes. The other two seats are on either side of the center chair and about four feet behind it. Each of these chairs have consoles on the walls displaying all manner of system readouts and tactical information, each seat functions as a different system control. The chair on the back right is the tactical controls, weapons, shields and sensors. The chair on the back left has and limited acess computer for communications, including sensor jammers, holo transceivers, and long range communications.
Upper Deck/Glas' Cabin:
Glas' cabin takes up most of the second floor of the ship, just outside his door are the gunner seats for the turrets. The gun wells sit on either side of the top floor on either side of Glas' cabin door and about a foot lower then the main level, the seats swivel at a hundred and eighty degree angle. The left seat is for the Laser cannon, and the right is for the Ion cannon, they remain deactivated unless Glas turns them on with his control pad. The door of Glas' room has his seal on it (Image coming later), upon entering the room looking around it is far more decorated than any other part of the ship. There are two large leather chairs on the right side of the room bordering the edge of a large bookshelf with a glass cover over it, protecting the books and keeping them from falling off the shelf. There is a small table between the two chairs just in front of the bookshelf, under the table is a small rack for holding the few bottles of His and Tess' favorite drinks. The left wall of the ship has Glas' swoop racing trophy's and plaques on display, as well as a collection of photos of his Ancestor Fiberian MaKast, building The Surely and some memorable photos from the past of both Glas and Fibers adventures with the ship. Under the photos is a complete wet bar, and just before the back wall is a door leading to his private refresher. Along the back wall and above the large submersed bed is a collection of bladed weapons, hanging on the wall. The clear crystalline water shimmers in the light of the room underneath the gleam of the weapons. Under the tank is a large queen sized bed made from the softest material available on the market. The bed retracts into the wall to save space in the room while not sleeping, the bed is covered with exquisite silks from Coruscant and Alderaan.

Trivia/OOC
- The Name Surely. Was made by KyoTe in the Star Wars Pen and Paper game as a joke. Glas first led his new found partners to believe the ship was named after a woman, The Shirley, but never explained as to why it is spelled Surely.
