Twelve standard years have passed since the formation of Outer Haven; a secret society sworn to protect the values and ideals of the Republic and the Jedi Order. Traveling from one end of the galaxy to the other, this group has been searching for a means to end the threat of the Sith Empire. Although the Treaty of Coruscant put an end to the Great Galactic War which engulfed the galaxy in its flames, there are many left in the Republic who believe as Outer Haven believes. The Sith Empire is still and always will be an imminent threat to the safety and wellbeing of all those within the Republic. Most look no further than the signing of the Treaty itself for proof of this. The Treaty of Coruscant was not so much a peace treaty as it was an unconditional surrender by the Galactic Republic to the Sith Empire. As delegates from both sides met on the Core World of Alderaan, the Sith launched a surprise attack on the Galactic capital of Coruscant. Catching the Republic completely off guard, the Sith were able to cripple the planetary defences and raze the Jedi temple to the ground. After a two day long blockade of the planet, the Republic delegates on Alderaan were forced to concede defeat and sign the Treaty of Coruscant.
This controversial treaty sent shockwaves throughout the Republic. Some were overjoyed to hear of the end of the war as it meant they could once again live in peace, some were terrified that the Sith would be buoyed by their victory and continue to attack until they had control of the entire galaxy, and some were so overcome by grief upon hearing the news of the thousands of deaths suffered on Coruscant to feel anything else. But there were others who felt differently. There were some who felt that this ludicrous treaty would solve nothing. The Sith Empire may give the illusion of advocating peace for the moment, but that could, and in all likelihood would change in an instance. Fueled by anger and a sense of foreboding, these like-minded individuals banded together to form what would one day become a beacon of hope for the smaller, forgotten planets in the Galactic Republic. As a direct result to the carnage experienced on Coruscant, Outer Haven was formed.
After the Treaty of Coruscant took place, it was clear that a new organization was need in order to protect the free people of the Galactic Republic. When Outer Haven was first formed, it was created to be a symbol of hope for the free people of the Galactic Republic and beyond, a weapon against the tyranny of the Sith Empire. As the cold war dragged on and the whole galaxy inching ever close to another Great Galactic War, Outer Haven itself was not invincible and they too surfered a great turnmoil of beytral. But from that ashes, Outer Haven became something else entirely, steadfast to what they believed in from the very start. Outer Haven is capable of being morality challenged and making the right ethical decision, and freeing the iron jaws of the Sith Empire. As the Galactic Republic readies itself to makes its rise once more, ready to stand for what they believe in, and ready fight for those beliefs, Outer Haven will be there in the dark to pave the way and ensure their success.
