Early Life
Ecko was raised on Coruscant by Jhenu Dal, her father, whom was a member of the Jedi Temple. Desir Dal, Her mother died giving birth to her. She has a brother, Tagen Dal, nearly twenty years her senior, a pilot, whom was mainly running trade routes along the Corellian Run. Her other brother, Nazar Dal, fell into criminal activity and eventually grew estranged from the rest of the family.
In her youth, it was learned that she was a receiving Empath. At first, the ability crippled her until she learned, with guidance from her father, to shield herself from sentient emotions. Her father made a decision based on her kind and considerate nature combined with her empathic abilities, that education and training should start immediately for a career in politics with focus on negotiations and ambassadorship.
Over time as she started to grow out of adolescence, her brother let her sit in on trade deals when he found she had a knack with using her empathy and her training negotiator skills to gain more credits in these deals. She became invaluable to him and it started to become a note of contention between her brother and father that she seemed to be leaning away from her galactic studies.
During the Sacking of Coruscant, her home was destroyed and her father killed. Full of grief for the loss of her father and out of contact with her brother, she wandered aimlessly through Coruscant, opening herself wide to the Empathy where she started to lose herself to the pain and suffering of others. Those that tried to help her found her too far gone in shock and let her be as they turned their attentions back to putting their own lives back together again.
Her brother found her through their bond about three weeks after the Sacking of Coruscant. Following a near recovery, she was left with emotional scars, but she learned to place boundaries up so they were not touched on by others. Both her and her brother created a partnership where their combined talents led them to take on more illegal endeavors as the Cold War settled in and created lucrative trading.

Personality & Physical Traits
Personality Traits
Ecklav has a strong streak of curiosity, as well as a "minimalist" belief in owning material possessions. She views each possession she owns as having a life of its own, thus in her view a burden to take care of. This view may have come from losing everything and fearing attachment, even to inanimate objects, which she strongly adheres emotion to.
She learned early on that allowing her Empathy too much reign committed social suicide. Due to the nature of her Empathy, she was able to cut down on the amount of time it took to get to know another sentient from years, months or weeks, to even days or hours. Most sentients viewed this behavior as obsessive or accused her of having fake feelings. She learned to build mental walls to stay behind when she was around those she didn't now well, or at all. This battled greatly with allowing her natural curiosity free reign while she shielded herself from other sentient emotions, as well as keeping her own emotions in check so she did not overwhelm others. There are times this "mental work" was too much for her and she would fall asleep exhausted if she did not keep track of her boundaries.
