My Little Scorpion is a good woman, very smart. But you may find her somewhat...erratic. ~ Dijaa the Hutt

Early Life
The elusive con artist, thief, and underworld medic known as "Little Scorpion" began her life on Coruscant, the daughter of an itinerant Jedi padawan who desperately wanted a child to carry on her legacy in the Order. Her hopes were dashed when she found out her child had no Force connection whatsoever, and left the baby at a Coruscant boarding school to be raised. The girl grew up intelligent and savvy, and decided to pursue a medical career.
Unfortunately, she would only study for two years. One summer night seventeen-year-old Ayang went out to a cantina and never came back. She was drugged and carted off by a slaving gang, sold to a brothel on Nar Shaddaa, where she became a spice addict and a prostitute. For seven months she lived in a drug-addled hell, until she had a stroke of luck - she was sent to a party held by a Hutt named Dijaa, who had bit more of a soft side than most Hutts. He took an instant liking to the smart, feisty slave girl, and paid to free her. After all, he explained, "who benefits from an intelligent dancer? No one! But we all benIefit from a smart businesswoman."
Turned loose on the Hutts' moon, Ayang continued to ply her former trade - though now she also resumed her work as a nurse. Though she had no license, she made a name for herself as a medic who was always available to help smugglers and lowlives with injuries and illnesses. She also began running various small-time scams, pickpocketing, and counting cards in casinos. Eventually, she was able to buy her own ship, the Red Scorpion, and has been flying around the galaxy, fancying herself a galactic Robin Hood.
Current History and Status
She's been hired by the Invicta Trading Company as a medic. She has also been adopted into the Ordo clan of Republic-aligned Mandalorians.
Ayang met Singero Morthol in a cantina and took an immediate liking to him. He helped her obtain a medical license from the Republic government and met up with her when work wasn't taking too much time. Their friendship quickly turned into a romantic relationship, which Ayang seems pretty thrilled about. They married after a brief courtship.
She is doing her best to move toward more legitimate business ventures and trying to generally act more respectable.
Affiliations
Dijaa the Hutt's criminal empire - Ayang steers clear of the Hutt Cartel as a whole, but Dijaa likes her a lot and refers to her as his adopted child. He runs a lucrative criminal enterprise out of Dantooine, and Ayang frequently steps in to help out. The whole outfit knows to avoid harming Dijaa's "Little Scorpion", because the consequences are severe. However, her status as Dijaa's known weak spot means that those who want to deal the Hutt a blow may target Ayang.
Galactic Republic - She's not a fan of the Empire. Her school was leveled by the Sacking, and since then she's a hardline patriot. She may not agree with everything the Republic does, but she agrees with most of it. Idolizes Senator Kayl.
Pro-Republic Mandalorians - A chance meeting in a cantina led to Ayang's adoption into a Republic-aligned Mandalorian clan.
Personality Traits
Someone who first meets Ayang would probably find her open and friendly. She's a plain-spoken woman who doesn't shy away from her tough past, nor does she hide her feelings. While she can be bitingly sarcastic, wildly spontaneous, and borderline insane, she is constant in her ideals and is a loyal friend. She strongly believes that sometimes rules must be broken in order for good to prevail, and feels that striking down the Empire at any cost is vital. While she may come across as erratic and wild, she has a serious side and freely gives her love and respect to friends who've shown they're there for her.
Though she is very book-smart, she gets easily distracted and isn't always the most practical person around. She tends to expect to be used, and also seems to accept this as just part of life as a young woman. Although she doesn't dwell on it, she has some pretty deep scars from her time in slavery, which a little probing will uncover.
Some may call her immature due to her rather childish sense of humor - Ayang will uncontrollably giggle at anything she sees as a sexual reference.
Skills and Training
Medicine - She seems to have a talent for medicine, and is a good surgeon. She soaks up medical knowledge at every opportunity and is always hungry for knowledge and willing to help.
Languages - Raised bilingual (Basic, Mirialan) and learned Huttese as a young adult. Naturally will be learning Mando'a but as of now she knows little to nothing about it.
Piloting - She's able to fly a starship without much trouble, and she can help with basic maintainence.
