The Command Ship of Admiral Lexan Deru, and the Flagship of the Galactic Republic's Fourth Fleet, the Adamant is a welcome sight to any member of the Republic Military.

Description:

The Adamant is a Valor-class cruiser in service with the Galactic Republic's Fourth Fleet. The ship is approximately 1000 meters long, and equipped with a single fighter wing of four squadrons. Adamant is heavily armed, and is usually escorted by the Fourth Fleet's "Armory" Division of Thranta-class Corvettes.

Service History:

The Adamant was commissioned three years before the Treaty of Coruscant under Captain Dalia Fel, following a four year construction period at Fondor. The Adamant was attached to the Sixth Fleet, patrolling the Mid-Rim and fighting small skirmishes along the Hydian. Combat was met many times, but it was mainly nothing of consequence.

The Adamant erupted on the Galactic Stage at the Battle of Kothlis, a year after it was commissioned. When Moff Kainus Ardin attacked the world, seeking to create a staging ground for an assault on Bothawui, the Sixth Fleet responded by sending half of its available assets to Kothlis, while the rest remained at Bothawui, reinforced by the Third Fleet. The Sixth had 14 Ships at Kothlis, consisting of 4 Valor-Class Cruisers, 8 Thranta-Class Corvettes, and two Commenor-Class Frigates. Opposing them was a Imperial Assault force of 20 Ships, including 6 Harrower-Class Dreadnoughts and 10 Terminus-Class Destroyers, as well as four smaller support ships. Moff Ardin was relentless and reckless, commanding personally from his flagship, the Malice. The fighting was heated and intense, with both sides suffering massive losses in the opening salvos. Six of the Thrantas were ripped to shreds, while the Empire lost two Harrowers after a withering concentrated assault from the Valors.
